On Site: Enjoy a stroll around the lakes or a more energetic walk around our nature trail, linking up to longer hikes through Cookworthy forest. Children can enjoy the freedom of exploring our wood, wild life pond and walks within the security of Kingslake boundaries. Have a go at the 9 hole golf - (not a professional course just a fun activity). Enjoy the children's play area with swings, climbing frame and sandpit. Walking and Cycling: The Tarka Trail is close by for cyclists and walkers as are a number of new footpaths, cycle tracks and bridleways which have been newly developed by the 'Ruby Country' initiative in the Holsworthy /Hatherleigh area; promoting local produce, pubs and restaurants on the routes. Local shops are also 3 miles away with more shops in Holsworthy and bigger supermarkets in Okehampton, Bude and Launceston. Visit The Torridge Inn at Black Torrington for an excellent Sunday Lunch or during the week for coffee, lunch or evening meal. Holsworthy: A small bustling Market Town is 10 minutes away, Street Market Wednesday, Cattle Market Wednesday and Thursday, Fitness Gym, Leisure Centre, Victorian Museum. Hatherleigh: A small historic Market Town, 10 minutes away. Market Day Tuesday. Pottery, cream teas, art and craft shops, quaint old pubs. Visit the Tally Ho in the square for good beer and food. Launceston: A pretty, historic town 30 minutes away, with a castle and some interesting shops. There are historic buildings and grounds such as Buckland Abbey and Castle Drogo; the Historic town of Torrington with its re-enactments of the Fire of London; Dartington Glass; Farm Parks, Zoos, Museums, Craft Centres, Pixie Land, Vineyards, Wildlife Parks and others too numerous to mention.
