Cycling:
The Tarka trail is close by for cyclists and walkers as are a number of new footpaths, cycle tracks and
bridleways which have been newly developed by the 'Ruby Country' initiative in the Holsworthy /Hatherleigh area;
promoting local produce, pubs and restaurants on the routes.

Gardens:
If you are interested in gardens then Winsford Walled Garden is well worth a visit. Approx. 4 miles away, Winsford is a restored Victorian walled garden with an abundance of fascinating plants. There are many other beautiful gardens to visit in Devon and nearby Cornwall, with the Eden Project about an hour's drive from Kingslake.

| Sea: The beautiful clean beaches at Bude and Widemouth Bay are approx. 25 minutes away, with sand, surf and the usual
amenities but without the extreme commercialism. Westwood Ho! and the beautiful beaches of the North Devon coast are approx. 45 minutes away. |

| You can enjoy beautiful coastal walks for most of the year, going from Bude either north or south. |

Riding: We are close to Dartmoor where you can Pony Trek or hire a horse and there are local riding stables in Holsworthy and Okehampton
Locally: Villages offer a mixture of delights including a Farm Museum,
Honey Farm, Farm Parks, cream teas etc.
Pubs and Shops: There are a number of pubs in the area all serving excellent meals in a friendly atmosphere. Local shops are also 2 miles away
with more shops in Holsworthy and bigger supermarkets in Okehampton, Bude and Launceston.

Fishing Bait and Tackle: Bait is sold on site, supplied by the nearest shop in Okehampton; others in Bude and Launceston
Holsworthy: a small bustling Market Town is 10 minutes away, Street Market Wednesday,
Cattle Market Wednesday and Thursday, Fitness Gym, Leisure Centre, Victorian
Museum.

Dartmoor:
Kingslake is within 25 minutes drive of Dartmoor with all its attractions: the Wildlife Park, Becky Falls; the Miniature Pony and Animal Farm,
Butterfly and Otter Sanctuary, Pony trekking, walking and birdwatching. |

We are centrally located so that many of Devon's attractions are within an hour's drive. Cornwall is
also close by.
Lydford Gorge with its famous White Lady Waterfall and Devil’s
Cauldron which is renowned for its scenic beauty is a must. There are historic buildings
and grounds such as Buckland Abbey and Castle Drogo; the Historic town of Torrington with its re-enactments of the Fire
of London; Dartington Glass; Farm Parks, Zoos, Museums, Craft Centres, Pixie Land, Vineyards, Wildlife Parks and others too
numerous to mention. People return year after year and still find something new.
