The kitchen lake is situated in front of the cottages and the nine hole golf course. There are trees and water plants around the lake and it is backed on one side by woodland.

The lake's depth varies from around 4ft to 14 ft and it is approximately one acre in size. This lake has an island in the centre and a longer island near the side, which is accessible for fishing. The lake is well stocked, mainly with carp up to approximately 18 lbs. There are also some bream, roach and tench.

This lake has fairly level, wide grass mown paths around the perimeter and a number of custom built swims. It is close to the lower car park with easy access for any guests who may have walking difficulties.
