Woodpecker and Kingfisher Lakes

These new lakes were created in October 2006. Planting was started during the winter and the lakes were stocked during the Spring and Summer 2007. The wet cool summer encouraged everything to grow and the fish seem to have settled in well. The lakes were opened for fishing in March 2008 and have proved to be very popular with catches reported of up to 150lbs of fish in a day.

The lakes can be accessed by walking through the wood or by following the grass track from the camping area.
