Main Carp Lake

This carp lake is surrounded by woodland on three sides. It is in a very sheltered location, with trees and plants around the banks. There is a small island in the lake and varying depths to add interest to the fishing. The lake is well stocked with carp up to approx. 20lbs ( although fishermen have reported seeing larger! ) The swims are easily accessible with mown grass paths around three sides and a wide stone path along one side. The lake fishes well for most of the year with a variety of baits - low oil carp pellets, luncheon meat, worms and most basic baits. (ground bait not permitted) We ask for a minimum 10lb line to be used on this lake, along with landing mats and carp landing nets. No keep nets. Poles are not permitted on this lake. We require all fishing guests to use Klinik antiseptic or similar when fishing at Kingslake.
